Chef Paul Short
Chef Short has been an instructor for the culinary arts department for the past 18 years. He owned and operated the Sandhill Inn with his wife for 12 years. He is a certified executive chef with the American Culinary Federation. Chef Short is the instructor for the Gourmet Dining room and is the Program Director for the culinary program. Chef Short started his culinary career working for Hyatt hotels; starting out in Lake Tahoe and eventually ending up in Chicago. His background includes cooking for many dignitaries including Al Gore, Jessie Jackson and other important political people. He has competed in many culinary competitions and has coached culinary teams for MATC and for a local high school. Last year chef Short was awarded the distinguish teacher of the year.
